Interview for 2024 Research Students under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program (University Recommendation [Special Selection])
Overseas interviews will be opened to Master and PhD scholarship candidates for “International education program for regional problem-solving professionals using applied AI technology” in University of Yamanashi supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan. This graduate education program is organized by world-renowned researchers in the field of applied AI technology including IoT and data science domains.
Interview Schedule
- Place & Date: Online (January 16th – 31st)
- Interview: Presentation on research achievements and future plan for 10 min, Q&A for 20-30 min
- Enrollment: October 2024
- Deadline of application: All the forms should be sent via e-mail by 15th of January 2024
Master course
- Number of scholarship awardees: 4
- Enrollment: October 2024 (scholarship for the next two years)
- Qualifications: (i) Bachelor’s degree/equivalent, (ii) under 35 years old at the time of enrollment, (iii) GPA over 2.3 out of 3.0, (iv) English score over B2 level in CEFR, or graduation from bachelor course taught in English, (v) experience/enthusiasm on Computer Science and Engineering

PhD course
